Flash2ISO - Quick Start Guide

Click “More info” → “Run anyway” — you’re good.
Intro
Flash2ISO is a simple tool to create a bootable .ISO file from a USB flash drive or a folder. It's perfect for
backing up your customized bootable drives or for use with multiboot tools like Ventoy.
Step 1: Install the Correct ADK Component
This is the most important step. You do not need the entire multi-gigabyte Windows ADK. You only need one small component.
1. Download the Windows ADK installer from the official Microsoft page.
2. Run the installer. Choose the default option "Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit... to this computer" and click Next.
3. Accept the license agreement.
4. On the "Select the features you want to install" screen:
- Uncheck ALL default features.
- Check ONLY ONE box: Deployment Tools.
5. The "Size on disk" should now be small (usually a few hundred MB).
6. Click Install and wait.
You now have the necessary oscdimg.exe tool installed.
Step 2: Using the Flash2ISO App
1. Launch Flash2ISO.exe. The app will try to auto-detect the ADK files.
ADK Settings:
- Target Architecture: amd64 (for modern 64-bit systems)
- Oscdimg.exe Path and ADK EFI Boot File: auto-filled or locate manually under C:\Program Files

Paths:
- Source USB Drive/Folder: Select the root of your USB or the folder.
- Working Directory: Pick a fast, empty folder (e.g., on SSD).
- Output ISO File: Choose where to save your final ISO.
Volume Label: Set a name for your ISO image.
Step 3: Create the ISO
1. Click "Copy Source & Create Bootable ISO".
2. A confirmation dialog will summarize your settings. Click Yes.
3. Watch the two progress bars (copying and ISO creation).
4. After success, you'll be asked whether to delete temporary files.
Notes & Troubleshooting
- Permission Errors: Run Flash2ISO.exe as Administrator if needed.
- Long Process: Time depends on drive size and speed. Be patient.
